Rise is a Christian after-school program operated by Movement Foundation for Movement Charter Schools, a rapidly growing charter school network in Charlotte, NC. We are in search of unique individuals to join our team as Group Leaders. Group Leaders are our frontline team members. Group Leaders lead students in their daily activities as provided by the Site Leaders and Program Coordinator. Activities can include S.T.E.A.M activities, games, crafts, and assistance with homework help/tutoring among other activities.

The role of a Group Leader is to provide positive role models to students enrolled in Rise. Group Leaders foster an environment that is safe, welcoming and exciting. Under the direction of the Site Leader and Program Coordinator, Group Leaders interact with students from the time they leave their last class of the day and check into Rise. They build positive relationships with students, parents, fellow Group Leaders and members of Movement School. They ensure that students are engaging in scheduled activities by demonstrating excitement and being fully involved in the activities.

● Maintain a safe and exciting atmosphere for students that are enrolled in Rise.

● Present activities and curriculum in a way that keeps students engaged and participating.

● Know the expectations that Rise has for students and ensure that students are adhering.

● Love, value, engage, and when necessary redirect students at all times during the program.

● Build positive and appropriate relationships with students.

● Tutor students during Classroom Connections.

● Ensure that spaces are kept clean and organized.

● Implement the daily curriculum as provided by the Site Leader and/or Program Coordinator

● Assume any other duties as assigned by the Rise leadership team
